Create new addin

I've just started using Visual Studio to develop my own add-ins, currently working with the 2025 version.
My add-in is simple—it only needs to open a form with a set of questions, which are then used to generate a series of folders and sub-folders following a specific code structure.

I've successfully compiled the dll and generated the add-in file from a text document.

My issue is that I'm not sure where I need to tell Inventor to load the add-in. I don't receive any errors, but the add-in doesn't show up in the list of available add-ins.
I'm attaching the files in txt format.

Tk.

So take this with a giant grain of salt.

When I wanted to take the add-in direction I spend hours at home following the guides and what not to get it to function. My experience was 1 to 1. My issue was withing the .Addin file XML. If this is not setup perfectly, when inventor loads, it doesnt load your addin DLL into the program.

Here is the link I used to get my add-in off the ground 2025+. http://www.hjalte.nl/tutorials/80-creating-an-addin-inventor-2025-and-later

2024 versions and before:  http://www.hjalte.nl/60-creating-an-inventor-addin

To be clear, this is something I moved away from due to development time. Sticking with Ilogic for most of our needs.

Thank you very much for your reply @J_Pfeifer_ .
It really is a big step, but I believe it will be very good for me and for the company, since I’ll be able to provide very specific and practical solutions without anyone being able to modify the code.

This weekend I’ll start looking into the links you sent.😉

Talk soon.
