BOM - Count Instances of Items

I know how to configure a part so that the length data is exported & appears in a BOM (Unit QTY) & is summarised to a sub-total (QTY).

What I want to do is add another column which will count the instances of each line, so that it will show 2 nº for line 1, 3 nº for line 2 & 1 nº for line 3.

1st Q: it is possible?

2nd Q: is it relatively easy?

I can (just about) follow the simpler VB coding.  I assume that if it's possible, I'd need to create a ILogic rule & embed that into template(s)?

no need for programming, just add the "Item QTY" to the BOM (Choose Columns)
