Automatically change content center file location to work space folder

Is there a way to setup the content center file location so it is automatically located within the workspace folder of a project?  I know I can change it in the project settings under "folder options" but I'd prefer not to change it everytime I create a new project.

I thought I could just change the location in the application options to ".\Content Center" but when I do I get this error message:

"The Default Design Data, Default Templates and Default Content Center folders must be full paths.  Some of them were set as a relative path and will be reset to their previously saved value"

Why can't the Content Center File Location be set to a relative path?  Is there a workaround for this?

Hi, the meaning of Content Center is to have ALL Content Center Parts (CC parts) for ALL projects at one place.

You shouldn't want to have every screw and nut saved 20 times on your HDD, just to have it placed in your project folder.

There are times when you need to modify a CC part, but it is no longer a CC part when you do so.

If you still want to do so, then you can write a macro that'll create new project for you and set up all the setings and folders as you need.

I'm going to assume that you're trying to be helpful and that it wasn't your intention to be rude.  That said, I find the statement "you shouldn't want to have every screw and nut saved 20 times on your HDD, just to have it placed in your project folder" a little ignorant.  You're assuming that I don't have a reason for wanting my projects set-up this way.

I didn't meant to be rude, sorry about that. I'm just trying to warn you about the possible risks.

There's always an reason why you may want to have it that way, I'm just saying that in the end it may bring more pain than use.

E.g. It might be helpful when you need to pack the project folder and send it to someone.

But it might become an issue if you'll want to e.g. update some info for the CC parts. Or basically anything that'll require changing the CC part in every place it has been copied to. However this might be invalid for you.

Anyway, there are some ways for how to do so, here are the ones I can think about right now.

1) The previously mentioned Macro. I can write it for you. You can add new button somewhere in Inventor (e.g. on the Home page) and use it each time you'll want to create new project. It will then set up the project settings under "folder options".

2) Place the CC parts as Custom. It will then promt you to save the CC part somewhere each time you place it.

It could be the solution if you won't mind hitting one more button each time you place an CC part.

3) Create an AddIn, that will direct the newly created CC parts to the Project folder.
