Application Options settings save

Software: Inventor 2015 Pro

Quick and simple question with a small operating inquiry:

Does the 'Export' button on the bottom of the App Options dialogue (dialog) box allow me to save a configuration to a file so I can 'Import' the settings for another part?  I shut down my computer over the weekend and all my settings were lost.  For instance, and this is the inquiry, when in an assembly; starting a constraint and say I'm creating a simple mate constraint between two faces.  The parts are randomly placed in model space, but when I make the second selection and hit apply (enter), the parts are then constrained to that definition; but, they are constrained at the value they were separated by.  The constraint is not at a direct 0.00 mate; I get strange relationships and am curious where this default control is.  It's wasting my time clicking in the box and typing 0 every time I make a constraint.

Thanks a ton in advance!  Happy hump day from the Midwest

May I add a simple question of what you users prefer to turn on/off in the application options box?  I'm always looking for ways to make things faster as I'm an R&D designer for my company and I'm always making new parts.

Lol. This problem has to do with the one button in the constraint box. The one that looks like the mate constraint is the "offset inference".

As long as that box is checked, it will always try to keep parts at the current offset; uncheck the box and the offset will default to Zero.
