API to pick an ifeature

Greetings,

I am trying to use the API to pick an ifeature and change the parameters

that come with it. I need some direction in how to go about selecting the

ifeature and determining its name. I have no problem finding the parameter

but I would like to be able to select the ifeature and then search for the

parameters based on its name.
