Hi, I'm a 3rd year Engineering University student in Australia. I’m currently working on a project which is aiming to develop a design process for the Injection Moulding machine at the Uni.
I trying to develop a plug-in for Inventor, which accepts the inputs of a CAD file, process settings,material properties and then runs a part fill or mould fill analysis and finally outputs the results of these simulations (fill time, visual flow representation, qualitative quality prediction).
I completed the “My First Plug In” tutorial and then scoured Inventor API Documentation, API Object Model and online forums but was unable to determine if any of the API objects I require access to for the Plug-In are for external access.
Could anyone please assist me in advising whether the required functions (core/cavity operations, part fill analysis, gate location, part process settings etc) are available to be accessed? If so, how I can access them for the Plug-In and some advice please on the best way to do it?
