Pin connector

Hi,

would like ability to create a pin connector in Autodesk Nastran in CAD.

Pin connector should work like this: you choose two cylindrical faces and Autodesk Nastran creates this connection:

There's a very stiff beam, and each of its tips is connected to corresponding cylindrical face with rigid bars. Beam tip is located on hole axis at the center of cylindrical face.

This connector would allow cylindrical faces remain coaxial.

Options should be available to allow or contrain:

- relative trasation of the holes in axial direction

- relative rotation of the holes respect to their common axis

Nastran in-CAD should allow to evaluate axial, shear forces, bending and torsional moments on the beam element in order to use this data to evaluate pin failure.

Hi, the manual construction of the PIN connector is really expensive, an automation would help a lot..
I'm sorry to see that the idea dates back to 2018..
