while performing Fluid structure interaction problem in Autodesk NASTRAN when I select Load type from output of Autodesk CFD it doesn't show result set such as temperature or pressure and also nodal loads.

Kindly provide the detail why this issue is happening.

Hi @tarun.bhardwaj

I suggest that you define an Idealization in Nastran, and maybe generate a mesh. Essentially you have told Nastran that you want to have no model. My guess is Nastran thinks there is no reason to import loads from another source when there is "no model".

Hi John,

I run CFD analysis first and then I use that output as a loading condition in Autodesk NASTRAN.
I am using the Latest version i.e. 2023 for both CFD and Autodesk inventor.

  1. What did you choose for the Idealization in Nastran? Solid? Something else?
  2. After you define the Idealization in Nastran and generate the mesh, can you select a load from a CFD analysis?

If you cannot choose the load after defining the idealization, I will have someone test version 2023.

Hi @John_Holtz

1. I choose SOLID  for the Idealization in NASTRAN

2.After I define the Idealization in Nastran and generate the mesh.

After that I load the result from output file .Cfdst.

Sorry that this post did not get updated. There is another forum post or an article somewhere that indicates reading results from CFD does not work in Inventor Nastran 2023.
