Node Numbers Using the Probe Tool

Is there anyway for the "Probe" tool to display the node numbers? The image attached shows results for an "Element" but not the nodes which it appears to be snapping to?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

If you want results at the nodes, do not use the "Ribbon > Probes" command. Use the "Model Tree > Nodes > Query Display" command instead.

The Ribbon > Probes interpolates the result on the surface based on the position of the mouse. (This is why it lists the element number; that shows which element is being interpolated.) The Nodes > Query command will snap to a node (so the result is repeatable) and gives the node number.

Also, I sometime use "Model Tree > Elements > Query Display" because this shows the result on all the nodes on the element. Of course, you need to know which of the N nodes correspond to which of the corners.
