Load added to shell element model has no effect

A 22.7MN load added to a shell element model edge has no effect and is not present in the constraint SPC summary. Same result when added to rigid body connector center point on the same edge. Model is not continuously meshed.

Hi @Anonymous

I think you want your applied load to be 2.27E+7 instead of 2.27E-7.

One other thing to be aware of. The force is applied to work points 5, 4, 2 and 1. I believe these are to be the center points of the rigid connectors. But the rigid connectors are defined using work points 5, 4, 2, and 3. Work points 1 and 3 must be at the same coordinate and somehow get associated with the same node. This is not always the case. Sometimes the software will warn you that the force at work point 1 is not associated with a node. You were lucky in this regards.
