How to use graphs about load-deflection curves in inventor Nastran?

I conducted a three-point bending stress analysis through the inventor nastran, and as a result, I would like to use the load-deflection curve. I don't think it's using XY plot, what should I do?

Hi @cite10 . Welcome to the Inventor Nastran forum.

You know the load (because you applied it), and you know the displacement (because Nastran calculated it). You can create a graph using Excel.

  • I you ran a static analysis and have only 1 subcase, then you have 1 data point. The graph will be a straight line in Excel from (0,0) to (force, displacement).
  • If you ran a nonlinear analysis and output all the increments, you can create the XY Plot to get the displacement versus load factor, click the button to copy the data to the clipboard, paste the (load factor, displacement) data into Excel, and replace the load factor with the load.
