Exclude element from results (but do not exclude from analysis)?

I'm starting out with a simple case, in order to prepare for some more complicated cases.

 

I have an eyebolt in a plate.  The plate is bolted to two pieces of unistrut (not modeled).

 

I apply a load to the eyebolt, and I want to see the deformation and stresses in the plate.

 

Here's the trick -- the eyebolt is "rated," and I am not loading it beyond its rating (Working Load Limit).  Therefore, I don't care at all what the stresses and deflections are in the eyebolt.  In other words--I don't care about the results for the eyebolt.  But I need the eyebolt in the ANALYSIS in order for it to properly transfer loads to the plate.  And I care about the results in the plate (of course).  But with the eyebolt in play, any stresses in the eyebolt risk masking possibly lower stresses in the plate.  Same with deformations.  Plus it visually blocks some of the plate results. 

 

When I'm looking at the plate, I want the eyebolt gone!

 

So my question is: How do I exclude the eyebolt from the RESULTS, but not from the ANALYSIS??

Hi @SteveSywak 

 

"Results > Options > Part View" and select the parts that you want to be visible (the plates) which will hide the parts not selected (the eye bolts). See Tip 53 in the PDF document attached to my forum post Suggested Reading - Tips and Tricks on the Inventor Nastran forum.
