Hello !
I have a shell model and now i would like to add a wire, modelled with beam elements, to my shell model. What is the best way to go? I tried to add a line to the part, then i used "insert frame", added my section. Then i opened "nastran" and it automatically added the beam. However, when contraining the node in the end, i got a error message, see below. Does someone has an idea what i missed? The start point of the line in the sketch mode, doesnt that becomes an automatic constrain maybe....
(Im using Nastran In Cad 2019)

You made the model one step too complex.
There are multiple things that constraints can be applied to when you use the Frame Generator. The constraint can be applied to the solid (if it is shown; it is normally hidden), it can be applied to the frame member, and it can be applied to the sketch line. In this case, I am guessing the constraint got applied to a point on the sketch line, but the sketch has no mesh associated with it. This would cause the error.
