Weld Bead Organization

I would like to suggest a method of organizing the weld bead browser such that it's easier to find a particular bead. If there was a way to group them by model state, that would be ideal. I have a somewhat large weldment assembly containing 5 or more assembly steps using a model state for each. I have 250+ weld beads to manage. Finding which one to suppress and/or unsuppress is a tedious and time consuming process. Even the option to have subfolders within the Weldment folder would be helpful

I believe the latest update gives the option to re-order work features but does this apply to welds as well? The option to re-order them AND then renumber them would be an amazingly helpful feature as well.

Right now, the process is basically to put all your welds in a bucket and dig around to find what you need. At least that's been my user experience. If I am missing a super helpful IV trick, someone please correct me.

To start with: my preference would be to pick on the bead and find in browser.  Then be able to organize them.

As you mentioned with stages of weld.  I think it would be awesome for any stage after the 1st to have a check box for:  SHOW ALL WELDS FROM MODEL STATE X,Y,Z so as the stages of weld move on your adding more welds to what already exists.  Instead of having to turn the same weld off and on based on the MS your in.  Hope that makes sense. I must state I haven't played with that workflow much in MS. yet so don't rip on me too bad.

I would benefit from workflows in Inventor that let me illustrate fabrication, assembly, and welding steps.  Design View Reps, Parts List filters and Model States are so close, but not enough.  I need ways to manage how each model component (parts, sub-assemblies, welds, assembly features) is shown in each step.  Ideally, I want to create "Lego" instructions to build the design.
