Showing count of selected number of components in an assembly file

It would be nice to display the number of items selected in an assembly instead of having to count them manually.

Example- If there are say 50 of the same type screws in an assembly, currently even in 2020 we must count them manually to find out there are 50 of them in the assembly. It would be nice to have a display at the bottom of the screen showing how many parts (or components) are selected in the assembly.

While you are at it Autodesk, also include a breakdown of the selection, if there are different files selected e.g.:

50 total selected

 - 32 partA

 - 8 partB

 - 10 partC

And add the ability to temporarily highlight the different subsets as the user hovers over them.

This would be handy to make sure I select all the correct components when doing an operation, or even just for simple quick counting.

A quick "Just Do It" would be to simply put in the Status Bar the number of selections.

Still waiting on this.  Not sure how it only has 6 votes.  This would be easy to implement and it would be very useful.
