"Focus Mode" for sketches: hide everything except the active sketch

"Focus Mode" for sketches: hide everything except the active sketch

How often do you enter a sketch, but find it nearly impossible to do anything in it because of all the surrounding clutter (particularly part geometry, other sketches, work planes, etc.)? Sometimes it's almost impossible to see the sketch you're working on, or determine which lines are in the sketch you're working on versus other sketches in the view.

Sometimes, particularly after you've projected in any geometry you need, it would be nice to be able to just hide everything else and only see the sketch you're working on. I propose adding a toggle to do just that.

I think it would be handy if this were added as another mode to the exising "Slice Graphics" toggle that can be cycled through, instead of adding a new one.

  • Click once, Slice Graphics (same as current behavior).
  • Click second time, Focus Mode (shows current sketch only).
  • Click third time, back to normal view.

If it existed, I would use that all the time in multibody and Frame Generator layout parts.

Totally agree with you. I would also love a filter for my project geometry tool.

No need to hide, but it only projects from this sketch.
