Provide a more discoverable method to add different color/appearance styles to each model states

The current method requires the user to edit the Model States table as a spread sheet and type in a new column heading (see steps below).

I would like to request that this column be added to the Model States table by default, or maybe when the first new state is created, so that user doesn't need to dig into an unknown table via a spreadsheet editor to do this.

The current method is as follows:

• Right click on the Model States folder node in the browser, and choose Edit via Spreadsheet

• Type Appearance<style></style> into the cell at B1 (or just copy and paste it from here)

• I'd just set them all to Default to start with, just because it's easy and avoids spelling errors and needing to know the exact names of all the colors
• then close/save the spread sheet

• Now you can set each model state color/appearance as expected from the Appearance pull down menu.

I'm so glad you outlined how to do this as I didn't think it was yet possible.  This will help us in a couple of instances.  Thank you.

For what it's worth;  When model states were first introduced, Autodesk said in a webinar that appearance control was planned for the future.  Apparently, based on the date of your post, it was always possible but maybe the method of establishing it is still being fleshed out.

This did not work for me until I selected the Solid Body, right-clicked, Properties, set Body Appearance to "As Part"
