ORTHO Mode (AutoCAD F8) Type Functionality For Annotation In Inventor DWG
It would be helpful to have this functionality with Inventor DWG's so that text, leaders, view titles, and other similar items can be placed more cleanly on the sheet. There are obviously some things that can be done already that allow for aligning some things but to be able to use it on all annotation would be very helpful.
Another "core" functionality component missing from the .IDW environment. Sometimes it seems like the team that developed the modeling environment knew what they were doing - and the team the developed the 2D documentation environment were a bunch of interns. Pretty inexcusable.
Autodesk, please consider this request to add some type of functionality that every CAD system has, the ability to move items while locking an ortho mode. Maybe even check with the fine folks that developed Inkscape, where you can hold down the CTRL key temporarily to engage ortho mode (like just about every graphics application on the market - free or not.) Oh wait, AutoCAD does it too - maybe check with that development group.
