The automatically generated paths in presentations are very often not helpful.
For example:
If you use a pneumatic elbow fitting the path starts and ends at the center of the fitting in the two positions.
It would be better if you can set paths manually for example by clicking from the thread of the fitting to the thread where it is screwed on.
