Make the "Replace surface" function multibody-capable

We'll use the Replace Face feature in conjunction with iParts that have lots of solids.
The "Replace Face " command creates different variants in which this function is suppressed or not. The function is always applied to several solid bodies at the same time.
However, since "Replace Face " cannot be used on several solid bodies at the same time, the function must be created separately for each solid body.
This results in very cluttered design browsers and too many columns in the iPart table.

Please make the function "Replace Face " applicable to several solid bodies.

You can just over extend the solids and then trim all with the angled planes. Another way is to use "Direct Edit", it is very powerful and can do what your currently doing and retains it into one feature on the tree.

Thank you, that's a good idea. I will it try.
But i think to expand the function "Replace Face" will also help a lot and should be done.

Hi all, @gmwi unfortunately you can only edit single solids with the trim command in Inventor so your browser tree won't really get smaller. The same is true for command direct, at least in my attempt (Inventor Version 2021).

Yes, there is a limit on faces and spliting. The "Direct Edit" feature keeps the multi-steps in one feature. You can do alot of steps within that feature.Direct Edit.jpgDirect Edit2.jpg

You can also just do an extension feature and cut all the solids you want.Extension cut.jpg
