Isolate toggle command
Hi
It would be great to have a native command to isolate and undo isolate (toggle). A shortcut could be added to it. Just press "I" to isolate, and again "I" to undo isolate. Thats just an example key.
I like this idea. But, currently the Isolate function wreaks havoc on associative View Representations. I think that would need to be fixed before this idea could be implemented. Otherwise, what you're really creating is a keyboard shortcut to break all of your View Representation associations.
Once that's fixed, an "Isolate" toggle would be fantastic.
Although... it might even be more complicated than just fixing the associativity issue. Say before isolating you have Assembly A's visibility turned off, but you have a sub-component of Assembly A set to visibility-on. In this situation, after isolating, you couldn't just "turn isolate back off" unless Inventor actually remembered the state of all your UN-associative components before the Isolate.
It might be better if "Isolate" were basically a "temporarily" display state rather than something that actually modified the current View Rep itself. Otherwise, Inventor would need to "remember" the View Rep's state before the isolate so that it could restore it after. And this would add even more complications if the user tried to make View Rep changes after isolating. Inventor would basically have to remember two sets of view states for a single View Rep.
I think making "Isolate" a "temporary" display state would be better. And then if I want to, I can right-click on the View Rep and say "Apply Isolate to View Representation". But until I do that, I can right-click the view and say "Clear isolate" (or toggle "Isolate" off with a keyboard shortcut as suggested in this Idea).
