Did you mean:

iproperties update from drawing

iproperties update from drawing

it would be nice to be able to update the iproperties directly from within the drawing environment - so that the title block fields are populated.

This one's not quite the same as the ideas Curtis linked to above. Those are requesting editing the title block fields directly. This one is requesting accessing a component's iProperties from the drawing to edit them.

Here's a more closely related duplicate (actually, original) requesting the same thing: Access iProperties of components directly from Drawings.

Well actually i was kind of thinking in the line of fusion for this. Which is a cross between AutoCAD and inventor.

So how exactly is Fusion different from Inventor in this respect?

You need to add more specifics besides "like Fusion" or "like Solid Edge" or "like this-or-that software". We don't know what you mean by that, and most likely neither will Autodesk. If we don't know what you're asking for, we can't vote. And if Autodesk doesn't know what you're asking for, they can't add it.

If you have a great idea, and you want to share it, you have to sell it. You have to think of it as a presentation. You're presenting an idea which people's FIRST reaction when they see it is going to be, "Why do I need that? Why is that going to make my life better?" And if the answer to that question isn't immediately obvious, they won't vote.

Not trying to harp on you or be critical. But you have a lot of good ideas on here. But you need to take the time to vet them with the community first when appropriate (unless you're absolutely 100% sure Inventor is lacking it and it hasn't been requested before), and then make sure you're presenting them clearly and in sufficient detail.

Your ideas have to stand on their own. People aren't going to do research to find out what you mean by a term they don't understand, or by "like Fusion". Add pictures, Screencasts, explanation, etc. to make your Idea post a self-standing representative of your great idea.

still feels very close to the other ideas to me, but I voted for this one too. Now everyone else just needs to vote for this one and all of those too, so that when these ideas get combined the ballet box gets stuffed!  Smiley Tongue
