ISO standards supported by MBD

To use MBD much more productive all ISO-Standards (ISO 1101, ISO 16792, …) should be supported

  1. common/combined zone (CZ)
  2. projected tolerance zone
  3. Complex GD&T
  4. Tolerances according to ISO 8015 vs. envelope principal
  5. Datum reference for all kind of orientation, profile and location tolerances
  6. Support of taper for GD&T
  7. work piece edges according to ISO 13715

Um MBD noch besser einsetzen zu können, sollten alle ISO-Standards (ISO 1101, ISO 16792, …)  unterstützt werden.

  1. Gemeinsame Toleranzzone (CZ)
  2. Projezierte Toleranzzone
  3. Schwimmende Bezugssysteme
  4. Unabhängigkeitsprinzip und Hüllbedingung
  5. Bezug für alle Lagetoleranzen
  6. Auswahl von Kegeln für Form- und Lagetoleranzen
  7. Kantenbruch

In inventor 2025 there are still some options not available for the ISO standards. Such as combined zone modifier "CZ".

@Melanie.thilo is there a timeline when this will be solved?

@Vilius_LC I am not aware of a detailed timeline as my role is not in product development.

Nevertheless I am convinced that the solution already implemented can bring value to companies who decide to work more model-based. Please check these AU classes if you want to learn more:
