When creating an iPart I start with a normal part and then create an iPart. Go to iPart table and add necessary parameters.
Then I go to excel and type the values in. Except lets say for example I miss type a value which would cause the part to fail and throw an error. Let me ACCEPT that error; otherwise ALL of the data I just entered into excel is GONE!!!
