I rely on the Inventor Task Scheduler when migrating from one version of Vault to the next to perform various tasks, like migrations, but it requires some improvements. This would take it from meh to kick-ass.
1) File Sort?
When selecting files there is no method to sort the files and the files are sorted non-alphabetically (see attached image). This makes it extremely difficult, if not nearly impossible, to locate a file, and honestly renders this feature practically useless. The fix? Make this dialog like any other dialog in modern windows and provide the column headers (to sort) and the standard methods of changing the view.
2) Selecting multiples?
When selecting files or folders you cannot make multiple selections. This makes it extremely tedious to select all the required files or folders, as you need to make manual single selections. I want (need) the ability to make multiple selections!
3) Performance!
After choosing add files or add folders it is painfully slow. Any other interaction with Vault (outside the Task Scheduler) is no where near this bad... the fix, improve the performance!
