It would also be nice to have the ability to create a pre-defined iFeature which you could place on a part surface with a given property or text string for use with the emboss command (or even to extrude / cut). Once the iFeature was placed on the part, it would instantly inherit that part file's property and the text string would update to reflect the value.
This idea has been implemented within Autodesk Inventor 2023. Please review the Inventor 2023 What's New article here. For more information regarding how you may leverage the feature, please review this page. Special thanks to everyone who cast a vote for it.
You are correct. I believe this is a case of a single idea post containing two functional requests. The team has implemented one of them, however the other rotation request remains open. I traditionally suggest we keep ideas focused on a single functional improvement. The challenge is Idea posts that contain 20 bullet items (functions) to address, may never get implemented (meaning, should we wait until all 20 are implemented to change the status?). In this scenario may I request you author a new Idea for the rotation idea?
I have an ipart table in which i added the Title and Description colums. And filled them with the pertinent information.
However the individual ipart models don't folow this input through the sketch and into the embossing. However, the ipart's iproperties DO show the correct, specific, title and description in the iproperties popup window.
If the ipart table can fill the iproperties correctly, why can't the sketch use the correct data?
