Grouping or Folder-izing Feature Edits in Assembly

Grouping or Folder-izing Feature Edits in Assembly

Our company uses a lot of cut-to-fit parts during our manufacturing process, currently. This is being phased out in our standard practices, but until this is a completely implemented procedure, we need to perform a lot of Extrusion Cuts. This helps up to get more accurate models, allowing for more accurate builds. With the ability to Group/Folder parts and assemblies in a larger assembly, why isn't this available for these after-model Extrusions and other modifying features? This is my request/idea. Thanks for the consideration.

Every model tree, assembly, weldment (treatments), part, should support folders. If the order matters then it should be prevented to go in an folder which starts with a parent feature, or if it goes into a folder with a parent feature then add it after the parent feature.

I can appreciate your response @DavidWarta, but in my Inventor 2023, I can group all of what you stated above, except my Extrusion Cuts. Even if I leave these to be performed after I am done with my completed Assembly. Might it be a new feature in 2024?

In part environment it's also missing.

@kacper.suchomski

Thanks for sharing you post. I agree with you. We need better ways to organize these larger models and assemblies. If you’ve ever used Fusion, the interface organization is so much better in this web-based software. I appreciate your response.
