Distance - Distance Chamfer Select multiple edges

When doing a distance-distance chamfer we should be able to select multiple edges (currently only tangentially connected edges can be selected together)

Mcgyvr,

Are you referring to the Chamfer Two-Distances option? This option displays a Flip button to reverse the values on the selected edge.

I think the interface or dialog box would need to be upgraded to have a flip button for every edge you select. It would likely be impossible to get all the edges flipped correctly with a single Flip button.

An interface similar to the Fillet tool with a selection listed on its own row. Each edge you click would be added to the list with a corresponding flip button for each line or selected edge.

I welcome your feedback.

Jerry

I agree with you, @JBerns. Autodesk REALLY just needs to start by doing this: Combine the fillet and chamfer tools. Then the software will finally be on good footing to implement ideas like this one.

This has been available in Inventor 2022.1, and you could have a try.

Hi,

Is this behavior limited to part files? I do not seem to be able to select multiple edges using the Two Distances Chamfer tool in my assembly.

(Side note: Click-and-drag selection of multiple edges would be a very nice functionality)

@mgreenmachine, for this enhancement, all the edges are required to be in the same face. That means it is also supported for assembly chamfer with the edges in the same face. Thanks!
