It would be very helpful to be able to create a corrugated conduit in the Inventor Tube & Pipe environment as a Tube/Hose. At the moment the TB environment Hose or Tube routes only accepts profile sketch with ID and OD and automatically creates new 3D Sketch for the path. The only area where we can add any customization is End treatments for rigid Pipes.
It is generally surprisingly tricky to generate Corrugated tube even in the normal Inventor Modelling environment... having a revolve feature being patterned along a 3D Sketch path, with relaxed orientation settings, does not produce meaningful results when it comes to bends. The only way it to use the Bend feature on a straight segment unless I am missing something, which could very well be the case.
We also run into the same orientation issue if we were to create custom appearance (with images file) to apply on the pipes produced by Tube & Pipe environment... we would have to have more than one Appearance, with different Orientation, for straight and bend segments of the route respectively.
