Correct GD&T Symbol

Correct GD&T Symbol

Some may say it's nitpicking but I feel the software should be correct in its symbology especially if it's going to claim to be based on an international standard such as GD&T Y14.5-1994

In this case the "All Around" symbol is incorrect:

allround-wrong.JPG

It should look as such:      allround.JPG

And the Feature Control symbols ( GD&T) should say they are based off of: ANSI Y 14.5-1994, not: ANSI Y14.5M-1994 as it currently states.

I'm currently going thru and updating our GD&T specs to the 1994 version, I will add here anything else I find that may need correcting, hopefully in time for the 2017 release.

Sorry, clarification.....it's the "All Over" symbol, not the "all around" symbol.

In 2016, the all-around symbol is correct and shows the single circle. What's missing is the all-over symbol! I wonder when it will be added? Andy

I understand your wanting to archive this due to lack of votes, but this isn't something that is a "like to have" it's a "correction". The symbol Inventor has for this callout is wrong by industry standard, it needs to be corrected.

I second what TheAngryElf said. Still incorrect on 2018.R2

One additional comment, I believe the "All Around" symbol (one circle) is accurate, this request is actually for an "All Over" symbol (two concentric circles) to be appended to the library (as @AndyWallace stated).  @Anonymous can you confirm?  Thanks!

@dan_szymanski Correct. In my original post I stated "All Around" but then quickly followed it up with the correction that it's the "All Over" symbol that needs correcting to the two concentric circles, it's currently one circle which is the symbol for "All Around".

Dan, just add this to the correction of the Chamfer note you did for me....Smiley Tongue

@dan_szymanski Has this been added to Inventor yet? If so, where did you guys hide it?

Not yet @Anonymous this is not yet available in Inventor 2022.  If you’re not already a member of the internal Inventor feedback community (beta forum), I would encourage you to join to get a peek at what things we are working on for future releases. Click this link to apply.
