I have found that inventor has an incredibly hard time distinguishing between construction geometry and normal curves, and I think the issue lies in the fact that inventor considers all lines, construction or not, as curves. This can make it extremely difficult to close loops or add needed coincident constraints for closed geometry, as inventor almost always wants to select the construction geometry first.
Also, I have found it sometimes wants to offset construction geometry, and this provides very undesirable results. With how inventor wants construction curves to select over my own geometry, it causes unnecessary time to be added to my projects as I have to high lite the lines and make sure the correct 'curve' is selected.
If inventor could distinguish 'curves' and 'construction curves' as two separate entities and not all as curves, I think it would greatly help the issues. I have also seen suggestions from other users as to having construction curves be unselectable, or to have an option in which they can be made unselectable, and I think this would greatly help as well.(

It seems that once a constraint type is selected in a sketch environment inventor automatically wants to give priority to construction geometry, which isn't right and causes lots of issues. I've posted about this before, and it was brushed off as an issue with where you're putting your cursor, but I feel more should be looked into to correct this annoying habit inventor has. (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/order-of-sketch-line-selection/m-p/8765628#M743677) It was claimed that it can't be consistently produced, but I can produce these issues everyday when I am working in inventor.
In the video I have posted you can see in the beginning with no constraint type selected it gives my own drawn line priority. The moment I select a constraint type, my drawn line priority goes almost to the bottom of the list, and it wants to select the construction geometry first. Priority should never shift construction geometry over the solid, drawn curves.
