Color dimensions with overwritten values differently

Color dimensions with overwritten values differently

Dear Autodesk,

it would be helpful to color dimensions with overwritten values in the drawing to see directly which dimensions are associative and which are not.
The color should only be seen on the screen and should not affect any printout.
Instead of a coloration it could also be some kind of a mark etc.

Best regards,

Andreas Wolfrum

@andreas.wolfrum ,

Many thanks for you providing the idea to us! Now we own the solution to make it working. Please see the attached image. You could use "Select All Overridden Dimensions" command from selection mode dropdown list, and the overridden dimensions will be selected. You could assign the selected dimensions to the specified layer. That will help you manage the overridden dimensions.

Does it work for you?

Thanks,

River

Thank you for your answer! It feels good that Autodesk gives that kind of responses.

Thank you for your suggestion. I haven't known this workaround yet. Indeed my idea was to color overwritten dimensions immediately after setting the checkbox in the "Edit dimension" dialogue which would be more comfortable and would not affect a printout like a colored layer does, but I'm fine with your suggestion!

Have a good time.
