Dear Autodesk,
when a revision tag is placed on a drawing the highest revision of this drawing is automatically been set by Inventor. If you want to use an older index you need to use the context menu of the placed revision tag.
It would be very handy to have the possibility to choose another revision while the revision tag still hangs on the mouse cursor before putting in on the drawing either by the context menu and/or even better by a keyboard entry.
For example:
- Highest revision of the drawing: 5
- You need to place a revision tag with revision 4
- Today: You have to put the revision tag on the drawing with revision 5 and change it afterwards by using the context menu of the placed revision tag
- Idea: Choose the needed revision in the context menu while the revision tag still hangs on the mouse cursor or simply set it by a keyboard entry
The revision tag still hanging on the mouse cursor could react directly to the keyboard entry to have the optical feedback and only if the entered revision is really available in the current drawing.
