Change tabs like in Chrome

It would be GREAT if you could hold down CTRL and press 1-9 to change from part 1 up to part 9 just like with tabs when browsing on the internet with google chrome. See attached image

Good idea. Another thing Chrome tabs can do that would be handy: MMB (Middle Mouse Button) on document tabs to close.

Both would be excellent additions 🙂

Still contemplating on that, what key combination you'd use when you have more then 9 tabs opened...?

@Anonymous Possibly CTRL-Shift-(1-9) I think if you have more than 20 tabs you're going to have issues anyway unless they are really small assemblies.

Just like in chrome, when you have more than 9 tabs open only the first 8 tabs will function like this, and CTRL+9 will always take you to the last tab.

I found a solution who works very good for me:

I set two buttons on the 3d mouse to jump between the tabs. jump left, jump right by adding the macro

ctrl tab and ****,ctrl tab. Works great but is little tricky to setup. it have to be done in all different work enviroments, part, assembly, sheetmetal etc.

@mathias.bergstrom  Good idea, though I don't actually have enough free buttons on my space mouse. I've usually got all 4 buttons set up with radial dials.
