Pattern along curve cannot be used with chains. Chain doesn’t follow curve arc, path is distributed as straight lines with length of chain pitch. So actual chain route is shorter than the one made with arcs. You can check this by doing so. Are chain links cocentric in sprocket arcs? No they’re not.
