bring back the auto explode in ipn

bring back the auto explode in ipn

i am missing an essential function the ipn of 2017 , the auto explode to create quick exploded views for drawing views.
i do not understand why this was removed.

use auto explode, edit some tweaks and the assembly is ready for an isometric explode view in the drawing. was the most used function of the ipn .

In the online help it is still mentioned:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-95946F83-2758-45EC-A41C-93DE04D712BB

so bring back the most needed and used feature in the ipn!

Does anyone find it interesting that some features, such as auto-explode, are removed from Inventor, but appear in Fusion? Also, other tools in Fusion, such as generative design, are still not available for Inventor?

It was removed a few years back for unknown reason. Of course It was not that popular but It is a very useful feature when you have a lot of small parts and you just want to explode it. Currently you have to do it manualy or you have to use Fusion 360.

@b.mccarthy Removes a feature to add more important features to later realize the most important feature was removed, then proceed to bring back that most important feature to get next years version release brownie points...

BRING IT BACK!

I also would like to get the function back. For smaller assemblies it was a big help (or even enhanced with the option to select the level of sub assemblies)

Sounds like im not the only one needing this after moving from solidworks to inventor..Perhaps its a copyright thing

I do like the way Autodesk Drive does the auto exploded in how it explodes a little bit in each nested level and goes through each level. But for Inventor there needs to be a more finer level of control for how "Exploded" each level gets.

I like it to be similar to the function in Solidworks

@svahdatGCY5F  ^ This user literally made an account on here just for this feature alone. This speaks volume.

Either way, we need some solution for this.

This topic has many votes and nothing is happening.
We have a device with about 50000 active components. The customer wants manuals from us with the components they have (explode view). I told the customer that we will not provide these images in the manual because Inventor does not have Auto Explode. And it would be a lot of work manually.
The Inventor 2016 version had this functionality and Autodesk illogically removed it.
