I'm not sure I'd want to create a BOM directly from the multi-body part (others might though), but I would like to see some tools for getting the size and material information into the components that result from the Make Components or Make Part tools.

Currently the best we can do is use the Make Components tools to generate an assembly, and then run an ilogic rule to get the component extents, and populate custom iproperties in each.

I would think that some built in tools to do much the same thing would help a lot of people.

I was just thinking the same thing today. I'd like to be able to basically treat a milti-bodied part as an assembly, in terms of its BOM.

The model state cannot work with solid suppression. If BOM is for solid, then it's a good idea to add Supress Solid functionality. Only Visibility for Solid can now be used.
