Automatically replace spaces with Underscores '_' in Parameter names on creation

It's very frustrating when Inventor doesn't accept your parameter name, and then the parameter you started creating disappears and you have to start all over again.

How about, instead of failing to create the parameter because there are spaces in the parameter name, Inventor automatically replaces the spaces in your parameter name with Underscores '_' for you instead?

Everyone now and then, I come across an idea that I can't believe hasn't already been suggested.  You nailed it, Paul.  This functionality is desperately needed!  It particularly stinks when it wipes out the whole operation, even just a red box or something would be better.  However, your idea is spot on (in my humble opinion).  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Thanks Pete. I can't take all the credit. I was playing with Alias today and noticed that spaces in layer names are automatically replaced with underscores...


Hmmm. I thought... that seems sensible 😉

This is a great idea! Here's another one that would go great with it: Allow me to edit invalid parameters.
