Currently, the Linear Sum dimension type (introduced in Inventor 2026)
displays in a fixed format:
N X spacing = total
(e.g., 3 X 10 = 30)
However, many drawing standards and company templates require a different
order, such as:
P spacing x N = total
(e.g., P10 x 3 = 30)
Request:
Please allow users to customize the display format of Linear Sum and
Angular Sum dimensions through the Style and Standard Editor
(Dimension Style > Text tab), so that the order of components
(count, spacing value, total) and any prefix/suffix can be freely arranged.
This would allow compliance with various international drawing standards
and company-specific documentation requirements.
