Allow Broken Leaders in Dimension drawing (Linear Diametral ...)

Some customers’ needs this option in Drawing Dimensioning Allow broken leaders like in the ordinate dimensions and dimension sets Commands.

I personally don't see why that would be necessary in the example above. In fact, to me, in that example it actually reduces clarity and creates unnecessary ambiguity. Can you post an example of a scenario where this would be necessary and/or improve clarity?
