In Inventor, as of 2015, when you do a measure distance and set precision to All Decimals, it only applies to the base measurement. I would like to see this extend to the Position and Delta offset measurements.
And how about the ability to actually save the measuring tool with the highest level of precision? I CONSTANTLY must go in and set it to full precision, nearly every single time I use it. Why is this not an application option?
I really go for Kudos on this one, here is an preview of how NX solve this thing. The information logfile generated by the Distance- command will keep all your measurments until you close the command. Brilliant. You can even Save or print the Infomation file. Or delete infomation and start all over again without restarting the command. Go for it Autodesk, it`s the mechanical engineers notebook during the design process
This idea has been implemented within Autodesk Inventor 2018. Special thanks to everyone who cast a vote for it. All resultant values displayed within the modernized measure browser panel will display with the level of precision specified within the Advanced Settings for general precision or Angle Precision. This is but a single enhancement of many made within the Measure command within Autodesk Inventor 2018.
