Adaptivity icon in browser

Hello,

We use part adaptivity.

We turn off adaptivity to keep the maximum performance in inventor.

When a part or assembly is adaptive the icon changes so you can see that it is adaptive.

Is it possible to make a new Icon so that you can see that a part or assembly is adaptive and that you can see that adaptivity is turned off ?

This is something I just ran into after picking up a project that others had worked on and left MANY adaptive associations active, some of which were parts copied from other places where they were adaptive there, but that wasn't needed here.

Normally, I would rename browser nodes with a reminder (like adding "(ADAPTIVE)" after normal name) to show which instance was the origin of adaptive relationship. HOWEVER, I found out recently that a coworker was using the "rename browser nodes" feature (assemble tab >> productivity drop-down) which would clear out ALL overwrites (and also prevent node names updating if any rename option other than "default" was used - different problem).

So, I need another way to tell when a part is THE SOURCE INSTANCE for adaptive relationships, whether adaptivity is toggled on or off. If there are 5 instances of the same part, but only 1 was the source for forming adaptive relationships, which one was it if "adaptive" status was turned off?

I like @g_v_rooy 's idea of having a new or different icon. Maybe there just needs to be a "locked" or "paused" toggle for adaptive parts, so you can keep adaptivity toggled, but "pause" updates, stopping Inventor from trying to push updates to the part (kind of like suspending connection with derived/simpified parts or locking rotation on insert constraints).

There also needs to be an easier way to trace relationships for adaptivity between parts. Not sure the best way to do this, but perhaps some custom or hidden iProperties can be created to record the path through assemblies and such, and add a system to display and navigate those?
