Wrong image shown in Autodesk Viewer

Hello,

A bit difficult question I think. I have used "Decal " feature to attach an image to a surface of a part.

Later I exported the Inventor file to DWF format in order to upload it in Autodesk Viewer since otherwise, the image will not be visible.

However to my big disappointment, even though the image was visible it was the wrong one. The image is in png. format, made from google maps. The wrong one is also from google maps but not the one I used.

Anyone any idea what went wrong?

This issue could be related to factors like incorrect image paths, caching, image overwriting, export settings, or software compatibility. To troubleshoot, ensure that the original image file is in the correct location and reattach it, clear any potential cache, verify export settings, and ensure you're using an up-to-date software version.

Hi Tomislav,

This sounds like a bug. It is either Inventor exports the decal incorrectly to DWF or the Autodesk Viewer does not display the decal properly. One quick test. If the Inventor file is uploaded to Autodesk Viewer, is the decal displayed correctly?

Many thanks!

Hi guys,

Thanks a lot for your responses. Decal can not be seen in the Viewer which is why it is needed to do a workaround with DWF files.

However, for some reason, the workaround does not work as well for me.
