Seems like FG makes a subfolder with the same name as the

project root. This is the default Frame Generator behavior. I generally correct manually, but why should it want to do it in the first place?

Thanks so much

Change this under Tools tab > App. Options > File tab > scroll all the way down to "File Naming Defaults" > Frame Generator (tab) > Location (on the right side).

I suppose this is because one project can have multiple assemblies.

Thanks again

It's because they probably had in mind frames that would be enormous like iParts and iAssemblies can be too, and then it makes sense to separate things under subfolders for sanity.

That's pretty much the case.  The default folder structure makes a folder that separates the frame components by the Assembly Name, then by Frame.

I agree with you that this is slightly redundant, though I have yet to do anything about it.  I'm considering changing it from "Assembly Name\Frame" to a single folder level named "Assembly Name-Frame".  That way it will still be clear what those parts are, but will not use two levels of folder structure to do so.
