When trying to add family to Content Center it says no categories available

I created a custom Content Center Library on a Vault Server, but am having issues with Publishing a part.

I started the Content Center by creating it on my local drive and copying it to the Vault Server.

Any part that fits into a category that I created when it was on my local drive before uploading has no problem (elbows and flanges).

I am trying to add reducers, but after going through the Tube and Pipe and filling out all the info and getting the message that it is ready to publish, the Publish Part fails and gives me an error that "No categories are available in the current configuration".

I switched my Applications options to use my local content center and it created the category on my local content center library.

I wish to be able to create new categories in the Vault based Content Center Library this same way in the future as my local.

Notes, the Vault Server Content Center says that I am able to Read and Write to it.

I'm only guessing here but did you actually copy over the tube & pipe category structure from the read-only library to your read/write library?  @cbenner any other thoughts?

I think Mark is on to something,... can you post a screen shot of your Content Center folder structure?  Also, when you authored the fittings, did you select Reducers at the top as the category?

It does show and Read/Write from the project section. If it wasn't I wouldn't be able to upload new elbows. The issue is it won't create the part if it isn't using a category that I created on Content Center while it was on my local drive.

I created only pipe elbow families on the content center when it was on my local drive. I uploaded it to make it a Content Center on the Vault, so everybody could access it. Somebody needed a different style of elbow and it uploaded just fine to the Content Center, while it was on the Vault. Somebody then came to me and needed a reducer. When I went to sent the reducer the same way, it came back with an error "No categories are available in the current configuration".

Instead of going back and forth on this..  For a test can you just copy over the related tube & pipe category structure from the read-only library to your read/write library and try again.

Hi,

There are a few comments you made that leads me to these questions.

1. You mentioned you created the library on your local machine. 

    A. Do you have a local vault on your system, There is a desktop content center but that is not a library that can be used in a Vaulted CC unless converted.

    B. If you do have a local vault on your system. Is it using the save version of SQL as your network ADMS. This can be another issue.

2. Another common issue is not authoring for the correct library set and sub class, Like Tube & Pipe then select reducers in the authoring.
