What will break if I remove Microsoft Access database engine 2010 from Inventor?

What's going to break if I decide not to install the 64 bit Microsoft Access database engine 2010 when I deploy Inventor 2018 ?

If the database engine is installed, Visio and Project installs will fail due to compatibility issues.

What happens if I just don't install it?

@kefr

The Access databases is mostly likely there for the Inventor to AutoCAD Electrical linkage.  If you are not using AutoCAD Electrical and linking info with your models, you should be okay.   But I will tag @johnsonshiue to confirm.

Not sure if the situation is the same, but we had a problem upgrading to Office 2016 (32-bit) on machines that had AutoCAD Electrical installed.  We uninstalled the Database Engine 2010, installed Office, reinstalled the Database Engine from the Product Design Suite install files, and all is well.  You might try it.

Hi! Mark is right. Indeed, Electrical Catalog browser does have dependency on Microsoft Access database. See the link below.

But, you can always use Microsoft SQL database instead.

Many thanks!
