Want to run both 2011 and 2012

When I started to install 2012 it said that I needed to uninstall Autodesk Material Libary 2012

Problem

You might not be able to correctly install following Inventor components due to a version conflict with an older (beta) version present on your machine:

You get an error dialog.

• Consistent Material Libraries 2012
• Autodesk Inventor View 2012
• Autodesk Inventor Content Center libraries 2012 (Desktop Content)
• DWG TrueView 2012

You get an error dialog.

Solution

Use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall these components.

• Consistent Material Libraries 2012
• Autodesk Inventor View 2012
• Autodesk Inventor Content Center libraries 2012 (Desktop Content)
• DWG TrueView 2012

Note:The product list will vary based on what you have installed.

Important: All Autodesk Material libraries must be uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs at the same time as follows:

1. First, if displayed, uninstall Autodesk Material Library 2011 Medium Image Library.
2. Next uninstall Autodesk Material Library 2011 Base Image Library.
3. Last, uninstall Autodesk Material Library 2011.

Do I have to uninstall the 2011 Librarys and will that make Inventor 2011 not run?

Just a guess, but I suspect that's a typo (copied from previous version instructions and forgot to update).  I have 2011 and 2012 (and 2010) installed on my computer, and no problems with previous versions.

Use the 2012 Uninstaller utility to make sure you've removed everything before trying the new install.
