Visibility Not Working for Solid Bodies in *.IPT file

Hi,

I've recently encountered a problem wherein visibility does not work properly in my ipt file. Whenever I toggle/untoggle visibility for any solid body nothing seems to happen, the solid stays visible regardless. So far this has happened to only one file. I've never encountered this before, and I'm hoping that this is a simple matter of having overlooked something simple.

Any help would be appreciated.

Als, I'm using Inventor Professional 2017

Hard to say without having access to the file.

I suspect, because it looks like being in sheet metal environment.

Hi,

Apologies, I forgot to attach the file. Attached the files in this message.

Also, I tend to use Sheet Metal Environment all the time and this has never happened before.

Thanks.

I saved the file and ad it. Can you check, how it opens in your Inventor??

Hey, thanks for taking the time.

Yes, that's exactly what I need to happen.
Unfortunately I can't open your file, error message "Error reading in RSe stream". Must be a version compatibility issue with Inventor.

Yes it seems so. I use 2022. You have an older Version??

Perhaps an update will do. I could switch invisible with 2017.4.12 (Build 256)

Try creating a new view rep as a test. Otherwise, I would assume the model is bugged. It works fine when I open it in 2023 as well.

Hi! I don't have 2017 to verify the behavior. It could be a corrupted design view as Walter mentioned. Or corrupted scene graph. Go to Manage -> Rebuild All or move EOP to the top and then back to the bottom. Does it help?

Many thanks!

Hello,

I tried this and it worked! The views do seem to be bugged somehow. Perhaps an update to a later version would be the best solution. But for now I at least have a workaround.

Thanks!
