vertical text embossed

Hello;
I trying to do an embossed text, with the letters going top to bottom vertically; one right below the other. I'm going to emboss the text. Any ideas appreciated.

Works well in R10 at least. Avoid complicated fonts for best results.

I don't think an add-in is necessary to do vertical text. Maybe I am missing something.

Hello;
To clarify here, what I meant was one letter on top of the next from up to down direction, not just turning upright lettering on a 90 angle. I went in mdt and created a new dimension style letter upon letter from top to bottom in vertical format, but when I inserted it into the inventor idw, it straightened it out. So I created one letter at a time, including rotating them, because the usc happened to be upside down. Hope there's a better way but its done.

Can you sketch with a pencil on a sheet of paper what you want and scan it in and post here.

No add-in is required to do that if you use a font that does not compensate for character width?

I can't remember what fonts are non-proportional but this one centers the letters.

Gwil has a vert.ipg that looks exactly like what I was talking about in reply two; I couldn't open it yesterday, but I'm not sure how once loaded on my c drive I would access the exe program by command line etc. to use it next time. I already did it the way I described this time.

Doesn't look so good with proportional fonts though.

Look at your t and i - they are not centered over the h and s.
Non-proportional fonts take up the same "block" area and would look better with this technique.

But it happens because of the left aligned text here.
You can center the text vertically in the Inventor text editor; you
can also adjust the line spacing as well (see attachment, right side).
