I want to use helical curve as rectangular pattern reference in an assembly to make spiral stair but it won't let me. It is possible in .ipt file but I need it in .iam for fabrication. Is there any work around? I'm using Invent 2022

One good workaround is to create a pattern of workpoints in a part file, then include this part file in the assembly.  Now you can use the part file's pattern feature to control the assembly component pattern (use the first tab in the pattern dialog).

It won't let me choose to feature the pattern from skeleton part. Can you show me how?
